vTiger version 5.2 (Validation Build 2) Released

Last week vTiger team released second validation build of vTiger version 5.2 which promises of a number of new functionalities, including SMS integration. The team is thinking of the following schedule towards the final release of version 5.2:

• • Validation Build 1 (released May 20)

• • Validation Build 2 (released June 15)

• • Release Candidate

• Final Version

Validation Build 2 has following new features compared to the current version 5.1:

• SMS Module – vTiger has now been integrated with ClickATell which will allow sending SMS to your lists using your account with ClickATell. It will allow users to send marketing SMSs or notifications to sales people in the field whenever a new meeting/calendar entry is created.
• Mobile API Module – Mobile API which alows integration with mobile service providers
• Project Management – The module allows Projects, Project Milestones and Project Tasks to be created and managed in vTiger CRM. It also shows you gantt chart of all the tasks, which is very useful for managing a project.
• User List View Navigation – Navigation/Pagination of User List
• Calendar ical Import Export – Do I need to explain this 🙂
• Reports Enhancement – Added Line Item Support
• Assets Module – Assets can be managed for each product for an account. The asset can also be associated with a particular invoice as well.
